The crew at Latch and Post Gate Repair Jacksonville has been fixing gates across Duval County since 2009. We’re part of the Cedarwell family of independently owned and operated gate specialists, which means our technicians train on the same brands and work to the same care standards, but every person on this team lives here, drives these roads, and knows what a Jacksonville summer does to a gate opener. That local knowledge matters when you’re standing in your driveway at 7 a.m. with a gate that won’t move. We answer the phone with a live person every time, and the person who shows up is someone you can actually get to know.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cody Beckman, Owner
Cody Beckman runs Latch and Post Gate Repair Jacksonville and still rides along with the techs when a job looks interesting or the week gets heavy. He started in this trade because he likes how a gate is honest work – the latch holds it, the post carries it, and when one of those fails, the problem is right there in front of you. He’s been part of the Cedarwell family of independent gate specialists long enough to have seen every brand fail in every weather condition Jacksonville can produce. His rule for the whole crew is simple: a job is done when the gate works and the client knows exactly what they paid for. He’ll answer the phone himself on weekends when the call volume spikes because he’s never liked the phrase “that’s not my job.”
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus is our lead technician and the person we send when a gate has been through the wringer. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule, and he can usually diagnose a board failure by the sound the motor makes before he opens the housing. Marcus has been with us for years and has a quiet way of explaining repairs that makes sense whether you’re an engineer or you’ve never touched a screwdriver. He’s the one who points out that a gate “adjusted” by three different people usually takes twice as long to diagnose, because everyone before him tightened a different thing waiting for the creak to stop. He keeps a worn copy of the Cedarwell C.A.R.E. values in his van, and he actually follows them.
Denise R., Service Coordinator
Denise is the voice most Jacksonville customers hear first. She’s our service coordinator, which means she schedules every visit, builds the work orders, and makes sure the written price gets to you before any work starts. She knows the Jacksonville area block by block – she can tell you which neighborhoods in Riverside have original iron gates from the 1940s and which Mandarin subdivisions all used the same builder-grade opener that fails at year seven. Denise is the person who keeps the whole operation honest: if a tech says he’ll be there at 2 p.m., that’s because Denise put it on the board and called you to confirm. She’s also the one who makes sure we have pet-safe lubricants stocked on every truck, because she has two dogs of her own and she’d never let a technician use anything in your yard that she wouldn’t use in hers.
Tony V., Senior Installer
Tony handles gate installation and the bigger electric gate repair jobs, including automation retrofits and new openers on existing posts. He came to us from commercial fence work, which is why he’s the person we want when the job involves setting a new post in clay-heavy Jacksonville soil or getting a gate perfectly level on a sloped lot. Tony is trained on every brand we service, and he’s got a particular feel for DoorKing and Viking systems on the commercial side. He’s the quietest member of the team – you’ll barely know he’s there until he walks you through the finished work and shows you the photo of the clean-up he took before packing the van. That photo is non-negotiable for him, the same way laying drop cloths inside your home is, because he believes the crew should leave every property better than they found it.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on our Jacksonville crew works to the same Cedarwell Care Promise, and that’s not a poster on the wall – it’s the actual workflow. Written price before any work begins, every single visit. Shoe covers and drop cloths every time we step inside your home. A photo of the clean-up before our technician pulls out of the driveway. We follow the C.A.R.E. values by name: clean up like it’s our own home, ask before we move or touch anything, respect your family’s time and quiet hours, and explain the price before the work. When kids are napping, we run quiet tools. When a job needs pet-safe products, we use them. And every repair and installation we do in Jacksonville is backed by the 365-Day Done Right Promise – if it’s not right, Latch & Post makes it right, no argument and no fine print. Call us at (904) 250-0188 and you’ll get a live person, any hour, any day. Cody makes sure of it.
